The destination, the final resting place
for all beautiful things
is covered in tragedy.
In a plethora of "too much"
"too little"
"too late."
Tragic circumstances bred from the consequences of having a beautiful face
beautiful words
a beautiful way of viewing the world.
The place in which we live
is not capable of holding beautiful things.
They always turn to black
to pain
inwardly reaching for something they've lost, but had before, grasped before
right out of reach
falling
to a beautiful death
of their own doing.

_{So, I recently read Wide Sargasso Sea and in the novel, one of the main characters asks if beautiful things are doomed to lead tragic lives. At three in the morning, this was all I could think about. Thus, I wrote this. I don't particularly like every aspect of the poem, but it's a pretty good description of my thought process on this question.}
