Literature Text

The passion in her voice
reminds me of you,
the lyrics seep into my skin
and I miss you.
Dulcet notes of regret and longing
fill my veins
and I wish I could see you.
Winter turns to spring,
flowers blossom but I can't enjoy their beauty
because the only beauty I need
is fifty miles from my bed,
sleeping soundly in his
as I rock back and fourth
going through the motions
of missing him.
[going through withdrawal
for his kiss]

If this is the way things have to be
I don't know how I'm going to continue smiling
every day;
hope and wishing only goes so far.

How can you sit there and
tell me I don't need you
when you're the very air I breathe and the
blood pumping my heart?
[I love you so much, I've allowed myself to become
a walking cliché]
listening to a hana pestle song (she's amazing) and just started to write (:
